IDEAL STAFF QUALIFICATION”
|
| This
qualification provides essential knowledge and understanding
of the responsibilities of alcohol retailers authorised by
a personal licence holder to sell alcohol. It will enable
those who complete the qualification to act within the law
to support the designated premises supervisor to retail alcohol
responsibly on their licensed premises.
This course
has been endorsed by the Home Office Minister of State and
is designed to meet industry-wide training requirements. It
also demonstrates a team commitment to responsible alcohol
retailing. The course also provides additional protection
to all licensed premises operators and candidates alike as
it ensures that every candidate fully understands the legislation
concerning, under-age sales, serving persons who are drunk
and the governments licensing objectives.

THE
QUALIFICATION INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING |
- The
main issues in the Licensing Act 2003 as they relate to
alcohol retailers and servers.
- The
nature of alcohol and the effect that it has on the human
body.
- Licensing
law in relation to the protection of children from harm.
- The
social responsibilities relating to the retail sale of alcohol.
- How
to recognise drunkenness and the individual’s duty
not to serve drunken customers.
- Appropriate
strategies that can be adopted to prevent or eliminate alcohol-related
crime and conflict; and the importance of personal safety.

| Candidates
can attend one of our training centres or, if you have 5, or
more delegates we can come to you. It is a ½ day course
with, an examination consisting of 25 multiple-choice questions,
it is backed by a comprehensive, easy to follow course handbook.
The cost per delegate is £50
+ VAT and includes Registration, Examination, Certification
and the Course Handbook. |

| One
day National Certificate for Personal Licence Holders (Licensing
Act 2003)
|
| The
National Certificate for Personal Licence Holders or an equivalent
qualification is a statutory requirement for the granting
of a Personal Licence under the Licensing Act 2003
The course
concludes with the British Institute of Innkeeping National
Certificate for Personal Licence Holders examination
This one-day
course will commence at 9am and finish by approximately 4.30pm.
The course
fee is £160.00 + VAT and
includes BIIAB Fees for Registration, Examination, Certification,
Course Handbook and 6 months Free Membership to the BII. Also
includes Lunch and Refreshments on the day.

CIEH,
LEVEL 2 AWARD in FOOD SAFETY in CATERING. |
| The
Chartered Institute of Environmental Health will allow all
food handlers, whatever their job title, an appreciation of
the fundamentals of good food hygiene practices.
Rigorous
enforcement of food hygiene legislation is important, but
is not in itself sufficient to prevent food poisoning which
is usually the result of ignorance or negligence. A reduction
in high levels of food poisoning can only be achieved through
education of food handlers.
The course
concludes with a multi-choice examination.
This one-day course will commence at 9am and finish by approximately
4pm.
The course fee is £84.00
+ VAT and includes Fees for Registration, Examination, Certification
and Course Handbook. Lunch and Refreshments on the day are
also included.

Foundation Certificate in Food Hygiene Update
|
| The
Chartered Institute of Environmental Health Update Certificate
in Food Safety in Catering will allow all food handlers, whatever
their job title or responsibilities, to maintain the effectiveness
of their knowledge and be able to deal with problems which are
at the heart of food safety issues of prevention and control
principles of food safety legislation and key legal requirements.
The
course concludes with a multi-choice examination.
The course fee is £55.00

certification and registration.

Level 3 Award in "Implementing
Food Safety Management Procedures"
|
From
the 1st January 2006, Legislation has required that all
businesses producing food. either as a manufacturer or for
consumption by their customers, have a working and documented
Food Management System in place. This system must be based
on HACCP (Hazard Analysis & Critical
Control Points) principles.
|
| The
course is aimed at small to medium sized enterprises (SME's)
who are working with food. It is strongly recommended as a prerequisite,
that delegates attending this course, have developed a knowledge
and understanding of basic food hygiene, ideally having gained
the CIEH Foundation Certificate in Food Hygiene or equivalent,
in the last three years. (we can provide this course, or a half
day update if required). |

The level 3 course is completed in one day and is designed for
Proprietors, Managers, Supervisors, Chefs / Cooks and their
Assistants. Course assessment takes one hour and is based on
case studies relating to the delegates own area of work. |

NATIONAL
CERTIFICATE FOR DESIGNATED PREMISES SUPERVISORS
|
This
NEW qualification has been developed to support the post of
the Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS) created by the licensing
act 2003. It is designed to provide both existing Designated
Premises Supervisors and those who may wish to undertake this
position in the future with the knowledge and understanding
of their role and responsibilities both within the licensing
act and the many regulatory issues in addition to those covered
in the act. It is designed to address the practical day-to-day
issues involved in running licensed premises and addresses
issues relevant to both the hospitality and retail sectors.

| This
qualification has been developed for existing Designated Premises
Supervisors and those who may wish to undertake this position
in the future, working in any type of licensed premises. Candidates
should have successfully completed the National Certificate
for Personal Licence Holders course. |
| A
book will be sent to the delegate as part of joining instructions
and is provided as a pre-read. It is strongly recommended that
this book be pre-read as part of the course. |
